Colors and shapes
inspire me...

Tanya’s inspiration comes from the dark mossy woods and sweeping mountain vistas of the Pacific Northwest.

Along with hours of outdoor harvesting and pressing plants, her composition process usually begins with lots of glue, torn paper and castoff objects of various textures, weights, and colors. It's a delightfully messy, tactile, texture-rich adventure in design.

Abstract patterns and hints of landscapes start to reveal themselves as she begins to lay down layer after layer of rich acrylic colors, blending with brushes, rags, sponges, and fingertips. n
