This picture is a memory.
I pitched my tent on the edge of a meadow. The sun was setting and the atmosphere cooling. Water vapors condensed into knee-deep rolling, swirling, lavender fog. Even today, as I recall the awe and wonder of it, a slight shiver rumbles in my chest and I smile.
This design started with some gorgeous translucent maple leaves that I collected on a spring walk. After pressing them for several months I cut them and arrange them like puzzle pieces on a purple, pink background. Memories of misty Wisconsin summers came to mind as I played with tissue and purple paper swirls.
